A new, premium blended Scotch from Sam Heughan of "The Outlander."

Sam Heughan has burst on the scene due to his starring role as romantic lead "Jamie" in the TV series "Outlander." He has taken his success and lived the dream of founding a new company — the Great Glen Company. And though the details are sparse, The Great GlenCompany has released its first product — a line of Whisky called The Sassenach.

The Sassenach Blended Scotch Whisky is a just released, limited edition blend of Scottish Spirits "inspired by the highland landscape." There is no age-statement — and the distilleries contributing are kept secret. But the flavor profile displays the light fruit character normally found in Highland malts and Speysiders, so we strongly suspect they make up a good portion of the blend which is gorgeously bottled at 45% ABV.

Smartass corner:
"The Sassenach" is the character Jamie’s nickname for his paramour Clair in the "Outlander" TV series. It roughly translates as "foreigner" or "outsider."

Brian
Brian,
It tasted great very smooth

Joshua
Joshua,
I enjoyed this scotch... I like it as much as Money Shoulder and Glenlivet 15 yr French Oak Reserve (Two of my favorite scotches) and more than Glenfiddich 12 yr special reserve... if you like a less peaty sweet and fruity scotch then this is a good one
