Flaviar, Inc. is a 21st Century global Spirits company with a mission to Bring Good Spirits to Life. We do this through four unique business verticals: the Flaviar Club, the world’s largest premium Spirits club; Caskers, the direct-to-consumer retail marketplace for consumers; The Beverage Bureau, a consultancy and creative studio for Spirits companies; and Supermassive Beverage Company, a brand incubator, and accelerator.

Founded by Matt, Jugoslav, and Grisa.

2012

Accepted to Y Combinator, the most prestigious startup accelerator, whose most famous graduates include Airbnb, Stripe, Coinbase & DoorDash.

2014

The impulse behind Deer, Bear & Moose is an obsession to find the perfect dram and share it. The first Edition of DBM ever was Tobermory 20 Year Old.

2015

Acquisition of Caskers, an online marketplace for alcoholic beverages and, consequently, the Craft Spirits Celebration, an annual gathering of craft distilleries and Spirits lovers.

2017

Launched Son of a Peat, an award-winning peated Scotch, and our first-ever Members-only brand.

2018

Launched Frérot XO, World’s first crowd-sourced Cognac, which received Double Gold at the 2021 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

2018

Collaborated with Alexis Ohanian on Shakmat, our premium 23-year-old Armenian Brandy.

2019

We set the Guinness World Record for the biggest livestream toast.

2020

Opened an office in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

2021

We collaborated with The Birdman himself, Tony Hawk.

Raised $750,000 from our customers in a crowdfunding campaign for Hercules Mulligan.

Leadership

Griša Šoba and Jugoslav Petković are the dynamic duo of innovation and creativity behind Flaviar. The tale of two pioneers has slightly different beginnings: Jugoslav was born with an entrepreneurship gene and founded Slovenia's largest online store in his teens, becoming a mentor to startups and a business angel.

Griša grew up in the imaginative world of pop culture, consumer brands, and music. In his 20s, as a self-taught distiller and blender, he created his first Spirits brands, co-founded a boutique advertising agency, worked with big industry names like Pernod Ricard, and founded the coolest cocktail bar in Ljubljana.

Wanting to build a new world for consumers and producers of fine Spirits, Griša got Jugoslav on board with an exciting idea of an exclusive club, and in May 2012, Flaviar was born. The rest is flavorful history.
