Founded in 1849
The original Rebel Bourbon Whiskey was made by the W. L. Weller & Sons company. And though that distillery popped into existence in 1849, it wasn’t until the mid-1900s that they started bottling American Whiskeys under the Rebel Bourbon brand.

Since the early 1980s the label has been attended to by American Whiskey-lover David Sherman’s beverage company, Lux Row Distillers. They have six core Whiskeys in their line up.

The story goes that Keith Richards brought the bottle of Rebel to a party. After drinking with Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, and Ron Wood of the Rolling Stones, Billie Idol asked if he could borrow the name of the Whiskey for a song titlle.

Rebel Kentucky Straight Bourbon is full of of flavor and spice. Expect butter and wildflower honey and bit of dried fruit. It’s bottled at a standard 40% ABV.

What does Rebel Bourbon taste like?

The Flavor Spiral™ shows the most common flavours that you'll taste in Rebel Bourbon american whiskey and gives you a chance to have a taste of it before actually tasting it.

We invented Flavor Spiral™ here at Flaviar to get all your senses involved in tasting drinks and, frankly, because we think that classic tasting notes are boring.
