Top reviews for Deer, Bear & Moose Glentauchers 1996:

— I admit that I am more of a Bourbon, Sour Mash and Rye guy, not much of the Scotch type, not to fond of the peaty flavor. But, this bottle of Deer, Bear & Moose (Glentauchers 1996) was very smooth with a slight peaty after taste. Quite enjoyable, has me thinking that Scotch ain’t so bad after all. A great topper for a celebration, first year at hunting camp that everybody was retired. I past the bottle around the camp fire on the first night (several times) to toast the fact we were all finally retired, then every night thereafter until the bottle was empty (3 more nights). Everyone gives an astounding two thumbs up to Deer, Bear & Moose. Thank You for this great dram and for broadening my palate.

— amazingly delicious

— One of the best Scotch Whiskeys I’ve ever had. Better even than the much pricier and more known single malts.

So incredibly drinkable. I wish I had an extra bottle or two of this. Could drink this for any occasion or just for a Whisk(e)y Wednesday.

Michael
Michael,
I have yet to crack it open. I have a couple friends that will be retiring this next year. Over the last couple years the three of us have been planning that after the last of us retires we will celebrate with a big shindig. In late October 2018 is the plan, during this grand affair is when I plan to spring the surprise of this special bottle.

Steve
Steve,
I liked it a lot. I am just learning the nuances of scotch, but this is very smooth and drinkable. Not too peaty, yet it has different layers of flavor that I picked up on. I will definitely share it with my "whisky" friends.

Alex
Alex,
This has to be hands down the best scotch I have ever had!

Lorenzo

Love this scotch. Hint of earthy notes with a smooth light sweet finish. Great neat!!

Jack
Jack,
This bottle was great. My first from Flaviar so maybe the 10 stars is a result of that too, but I really liked it. We, my wife and I, drink a lot of Scotch and Japanese Whisky (she knows more than I do) and she loved it. We also love the ability to have something that is limited in quantity, high quality and reasonable in price. Keep these bottles coming.

James
James,
By far the best Scotch I have ever had. Warm, smooth and tons of flavor.

Daniel
Daniel,
Although every single malt is a celebration, I felt that this was far too muted in its flavor profile. Hard not to like, but I will not remember this one for long.

Wes
Wes,
Awesome!

Charles
Charles,
Very smooth with a light sweet taste, almost a hint, with a bit of a bite. It is my new favorite dram. My daughter thought it would be even better with an ice stone. I'm one that likes his whiskey/whisky as the producer made it but she was right.

Stephen
Stephen,
Amazingly smooth Speyside - especially at cask strength. This was even better than the last Speyside Deer, Bear, & Moose release! Well worth the price.

Thomas
Thomas,
Really glad I purchased this bottle. I usually the more moderately priced Macallans or Glenmorangies and this was worth splurging on!

Justin
Justin,
It was very flavorful, best thing I've tasted in a while

Jon
Jon,
Well balanced

Ryan
Ryan,
Always been an Islay fan. Regardless, this is an amazing treat. Sweetness and honey abound, it's a perfect finish to an evening.
