FOR YOUR EYES ONLY: The Whisky-hunting beasts uncovered a mysterious dram.

Special agents Deer, Bear, and Moose have entered the clandestine world of mystery and intrigue. They parachuted to the Scottish Highlands to meet a secretive figure. They learned two barrels of local Single Malt are waiting for them at an undisclosed location. “Barrels 38 and 39,” the figure said. “You’ll love it.”

The Scotch Searching Squad contacted their assets in the Industry and got extra info on the offering: distilled at the turn of the century, matured for 21 years in barrels that once held Bourbon Whiskey, of deep gold hue, smokey and Sherry nose, peaty and oily palate, and a long and salty finish.

The Trio tasted the hush-hush Whisky and they decided it’s too good not to be shared with you. Don’t confirm nor deny this to anyone, but DBM #23 is out of this world. Over.

The whiskey is so hot that the alcohol content dominates the flavors. Even adding some water doesn't improve the flavors. I expected more from this purchase.

Disgusting. Not worth the price. Better off with anything else.

When I first opened and tasted I honestly did not like it. I would have given it a 4 or 5. After revisiting it 5 months later I’m amazed how it has opened up especially when I add water. It’s much more balanced. I get some of the oil, butter, toffee with a lightly pleated finish. Pairing with a cigar brings even more of the peat out.

very disappointed. Nose is mostly "bad" wood and that carries on in the flavor. Will probably only use in cocktail which hopefully will cover up the smell/taste. Will stay away from Dear/Bear/Moose in the future.
