Kentucky-based Copper & Kings produces a wide range of spirits including Brandies, Absinthe, Gin, and limited releases.
Copper & Kings is most known for their Brandies influenced by American Whiskey and American music. Their original Brandy, first bottled in mid-2014, is comprised of copper pot-distilled Brandies from fine purveyors who were generous enough to share some of their wares.
Their Brandies typically use classic grape varietals – (French) Colombard, Muscat de Alexandrie and Chenin Blanc. These grapes are sourced from Central Valley and Central Coast regions of California. They also distill an annual Kentucky vintage Brandy using the Vidal Blanc grape varietal.
Up in the northern part of Louisville, KY, right next to the Ohio River and a shout away from Indiana, there's a picturesque neighborhood called Butchertown. It used to be home to butchers, brawlers and brewers, today it houses artists, artisans and distillers. One of them is a bold distillery of Copper & King American Brandy Company.
Joe and Lesley Heron founded Copper & Kings in 2014 in Louisville, KY, deconstructing the idea of Brandy, to build something truly American. Their Brandy is influenced by American Whiskey and music.
Their juice is pure, authentic and natural, distilled exclusively in copper pot-stills using a slow distillation at a low temperature. Their lineup includes an American Brandy, Absinthe, Dry Gin and limited releases.
