A smooth and spicy Rye, born on the Frey Ranch.
In the eastern foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains sits a fertile valley fed by a continuous flow of melted snow-water filtering through the bedrock. The Frey family has been farming this land since 1953. Fifth-generation farmer Colby Frey saw grain and pure water and decided that Whiskey was a good bet. He started experimenting with distilled Spirits in 2006. Nevada relaxed regulations in 2010 opening the door to commercial distillation — Frey Ranch Whiskey Farm opened in 2014, boasting a beautiful Vendome still.
Frey Ranch Bottled-in-Bond Straight Rye Whiskey is made with 100% sustainably grown winter rye cereal that was slow-grown on the Frey Ranch. Clocking in at 100 proof, this Rye is smooth enough to savor it neat yet spicy enough to craft a traditional Whiskey cocktail. Make a Sazerac or a Rye Manhattan! Oh, and not to be ones to blow their own horn, but this tipple’s won some pretty prestigious awards, too. Gold at both 2020 and 2021 San Francisco International Spirits Competition, Gold Outstanding at 2020 Whiskies of the World and it was among 10 Highest Scoring Whiskies by Whiskey Advocate in 2020. We hear Bourbon-makers all over America shakiiing.
