Distilled in 1984 and matured in a refill sherry butt, this 45.6% ABV beauty is a testament to the now-silent Cambus Distillery. With only 368 bottles in existence, it’s a collector’s dream. Expect a nose of sherry-soaked raisins and leather, a palate of golden syrup and maraschino cherry, and a finish that lingers like a Highland sunset.

Appearance / Color

Dark amber

Nose / Aroma / Smell

Heavily influenced by the sherry wood. Initial aromas of raisin, dark date, leather, and pipe tobacco are balanced by vanilla, dark honey, apricot, and a distinct note of pear drops and liquorice.

Flavor / Taste / Palate

Decadent and sweet. Deep layers of golden syrup, Demerara sugar, molasses, and maraschino cherry merge with orchard fruits like peach and pear, alongside intense oak tannins.

Finish

Long, earthy, and quite tannic. It wraps up with notes of baked apple, plum, grape skin, lingering balsamic undertones, and a final punch of liquorice.
