Good, but not $1000 good

I bought a bottle of this and was disappointed in comparison to the price point. After buying, I checked and the MSRP is around $70.00 and that’s what it should be. Gang…it’s just doesn’t have a $1000 taste profile. There are others I’ve paid a few hundred dollars for that have a better profile and would buy again.

In your lifetime there are only a handful of whiskies that you have on your bucket list. This - and the entire Pappy series should be on that list. While I don’t know that I’d ever buy a bottle - I was able to get a dram of this @ Brennan’s in NOLA. It was all the things you would hope it would be. Although it’s relatively young @ 10 years old - it is one of the best bourbons I’ve ever had.
