Curated by the pioneer of Cristalino, Juan Domingo Beckmann, this dazzling collection features 5 Reposado and Añejo Cristalino Tequilas, each a testament to innovation and excellence. Each gem inside pushes the boundaries of agave to new heights with a bright, smooth finish. Polished to perfection using a revolutionary filtration method, these aged Tequilas match crystalline looks with superb flavor and aroma for a superior sipping experience.

Welcome, esteemed connoisseurs, to the illustrious Cristalino Tequila! This style of Tequila was developed in the early 2000s by 11th-generation Tequila maker and visionary, Juan Domingo Beckmann, who challenged the conventions of Tequila making.

A Cristalino Tequila is any Tequila that has been aged in oak, be it Reposado, Añejo, Extra-Añejo, or a blend of the three, then masterfully filtered to translucent perfection. A veritable gem in the realm of fine Spirits, its moniker 'Cristalino' translates to 'crystalline', an ode to its pristine clarity.

Cristalino Tequilas bear the flavorful depth and complexity of an aged Tequila yet shine with the crisp vibrancy of a Blanco: crystal-clear like a meticulously cut diamond. The secret? An innovative filtration process that removes color but gifts an unparalleled smoothness. It's not just a Tequila, but a symphony of flavors, a dance of subtleties that elevates every sipping moment into a grand celebration and adds a splash of extravagance to any cocktail.

Let’s see the gems the Cristalino Colección de México holds:

First from the Maestro Dobel collection comes Diamante Cristalino Reposado Tequila, the world’s first crystal clear multi-aged Tequila carrying a category-defining legacy. Diamante is a blend of Reposado, Añejo, and Extra Añejo Tequilas, each aged in Eastern European oak barrels. With notes of mild oak, vanilla, cinnamon, and almonds, it's bold, sophisticated, and irresistibly complex.

Next, from the 1800 Tequila collection, is 1800 Cristalino Añejo. Luxurious, timeless, and crafted with unwavering dedication to quality. 1800 Cristalino is an Añejo Tequila aged in new American and French oak for over a year and finished in Port Wine casks, creating a silky, balanced flavor with deep, rich qualities. Its notes of oak, vanilla, and red fruits are as elegant and refined as a classic timepiece.

Then, from the Gran Coramino collection, Gran Coramino Cristalino Reposado. A partnership between Kevin Hart and Juan Domingo Beckmann, this unique gem is a Reposado Tequila aged in Eastern European oak barrels and finished in Californian Cabernet barrels. It boasts full-bodied flavors of cooked agave, stone fruit, vanilla bean, dark berries, and light oak—a true conversation piece.

From the Gran Centenario collection, Gran Centenario Cristalino Añejo. This Cristalino is a blend of Añejo and Extra Añejo Tequilas aged in new American oak and then finished in Calvados casks. Filtered with Mexican silver in a meticulous, proprietary process, the jade bottle pays homage to the gemstones and minerals found in Mexico. With its sweet agave, citrus, vanilla, oak, and baked apple notes, it's classic, elegant, and always in style.

Finally, from the Jose Cuervo collection, is Tradicional Cristalino Reposado. It's a blend of three award-winning aged Tequilas: Tradicional Reposado, Tradicional Añejo, and Reserva De La Familia Extra Añejo. Each Tequila adds a layer of complexity, leaving Tradicional Cristalino brimming with flavors of cooked agave, earth, spice, and tropical fruit. This is a truly translucent beauty.
Here's to the Cristalino Tequila – a revelation, a revolution, a toast to the extraordinary! Salud!

SMARTASS CORNER

1) There are over 136 species of Agave. For Tequila to be deemed truly ‘premium’ it must be comprised of 100% of the Blue Weber Agave species.

2) If the Tequila bottle label does not state that it’s made with 100% Blue Agave, then, by default, that Tequila is a Mixto (made with a minimum of 51% Blue Agave).

3) Tequila goes bad with time! Generally, you have up to one year from bottling before both oxidation and evaporation diminish the quality of the Tequila and destroy the delicate Agave flavor profile.

4) Tequila is like Champagne or Cognac. It has a Denomination of Origin, meaning it can only be produced in one of five government-approved states in Mexico, the most prominent being the state of Jalisco.

5) Each brand of Tequila boasts its distinctive production methods, such as the choice of oak barrel if aging the Tequila, the degree of toast or char, and the specific microclimate where the Tequila matures. The final filtration process after oak maturation is what truly distinguishes a Cristalino from its peers in the aged categories.

6) Like fingerprints, no two filtration methods are the same. Master Distillers study the unique chemical makeup of each specific aged Tequila and apply a custom-made filtration process that brings out the best in each expression. This is how Cristalinos achieve that bright flavor and velvety smoothness they're famous for.

7) Cristalinos are fantastic in cocktails, adding vibrant flavors of aged Tequila while keeping your cocktail bright. Reposado Cristalinos are especially harmonious in Margaritas and Palomas, while Añejo and Extra-Añejo Cristalinos shine in spirit-forward cocktails like Old Fashioneds, or on their own with a solitary ice cube or in a long-stemmed Tequila flute, highlighting the aromatics of the Cristalino.

8) Today there are over 40 Cristalinos available on the market and counting as the category gains recognition.
