Buffalo Trace Single Oak Project Barrel #24 is a daring dive into bourbon alchemy. Part of a 192-barrel experiment, this Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey explores how wood and aging shape flavor. Crafted with a rye-flavoring mash bill, 12-month seasoned tight grain staves, and a #4 char, it enters the barrel at 105 proof. Bottled at 90 proof, it delivers a wood-forward nose, a palate with vanilla, caramel, and sharp oak, and a smooth, short finish. Critics note its heat and unique profile.

Buffalo Trace is a highly respected brand from the famous distillery of the same name. The Buffalo Trace Distillery claims to be “the most awarded distillery” in America.

It has become the flagship of the Sazerac Bourbon line-up. They keep the mash bill tight — corn, rye, and malted barley with no wheat filler. It is also aged 7 years and served up at 45% ABV. All that means good Bourbon flavor in every sip.

We taste buttery caramel, toffee, dried pineapple, and cinnamon toast. The finish is decent in length with lingering spice and sweet.
