Buffalo Trace Single Oak Project Barrel #140 is a bourbon lover's dream—a collectible, experimental Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey. Aged for at least eight years and bottled at 45% ABV, this 375ml gem is part of a grand experiment launched in 1999. Barrel #140 features a rye-flavored mash bill, entered the barrel at 125 proof, and matured with staves seasoned for 12 months. Expect a nose of vanilla and charred oak, a palate of dark, woody complexity, and a finish with lingering oak warmth.

Buffalo Trace is a highly respected brand from the famous distillery of the same name. The Buffalo Trace Distillery claims to be “the most awarded distillery” in America.

It has become the flagship of the Sazerac Bourbon line-up. They keep the mash bill tight — corn, rye, and malted barley with no wheat filler. It is also aged 7 years and served up at 45% ABV. All that means good Bourbon flavor in every sip.

We taste buttery caramel, toffee, dried pineapple, and cinnamon toast. The finish is decent in length with lingering spice and sweet.
