With a wheated mash bill and a heavy #4 char, it’s a symphony of cherry cola on the nose, transitioning to a palate rich with cola, tea leaf, and charred wood. Buffalo Trace is a highly respected brand from the famous distillery of the same name. The Buffalo Trace Distillery claims to be “the most awarded distillery” in America.

It has become the flagship of the Sazerac Bourbon line-up. They keep the mash bill tight — corn, rye, and malted barley with no wheat filler. It is also aged 7 years and served up at 45% ABV. All that means good Bourbon flavor in every sip.

We taste buttery caramel, toffee, dried pineapple, and cinnamon toast. The finish is decent in length with lingering spice and sweet.
