Great rum, high value for the price.
Not a supper for me. Wintergreen and mouth wash is not my idea of good rum..
Heavy on the spices, nice vanilla flavor and subtle fruit flavor
A tad too sweet and a ton of natural vanilla. Great aftertastes, can drink neat! Dip a cigar in this and enjoy. My bar’s house rum.
This used to be so good to have on the rocks
When someone asks me what I recommend as a good rum, this is it. I tell them its the best balance of price and quality. Sure, there better rums, but the price you pay for Zaya makes it the best choice for someone looking to start a collection
Best rum I’ve ever had
Best rum on my shelf
The nose is bold and round; with a distinct fruity/spicy character. A bakery aroma permeates the bouquet. The palate reveals molasses, butterscotch and sarsaparilla. This Rum is sweet and flavorful. There is a distinct hint of copper penny that ascends to the roof of the mouth midway though—leading to a dry and satisfying finish. The mouthfeel is on the oily side.
Smooth velvety not too spicy. You can taste the extra years. very good rum for the price, not an elite top-shelf rum but knocking on the door and an impressive go to for high end rum cocktails.
Really very good a dn drinks like a scotch. Used in a mahattan for a twist. Pretty damn good with a cherry and one ice cube.
My go to rum.
Quality sipping rum of burnt molasses, raisin and black licorice. It’s a touch alcohol forward on its taste and its mild burn. This rum may not to be everyone’s liking that is for certain. Not one of my favorites but it’s a solid rum.
My favorite and go-to rum. Love the perfect hit of sweetness via the hint of caramel.
Disappointing, overly sweet with an artificial caramel flavor dominating and a lingering medicinal flavor. Not undrinkable, but only just.
This use to be a great rum. Within the last year or so it became sweeter. We are really missing out on something special. A few years ago it was excellent.
Very sweet but flavorful rum!! I’d definitely purchase this for sipping or mixed cocktails.
Very nice neat, although some may find it sweet depending on the pallet. But very smooth and I honestly think a value for good tasting rum. A must try.
An update, they started making this sweeter. I got a bottle recently and it is indeed sweeter.
This is a solid spiced rum. I don’t typically enjoy drinking rum neat, but I would try this neat any day. This has a lovely vanilla flavor too. Worth the somewhat high price.
Wonderful taste with great flavor. Just the right amount of sweetness
very smokey, i'm not a smoker so it was a little different I'll save for later when I'm ready for something different
Great sipping rum and a crowd favorite, we go through a bottle of this each week at volleyball.
Delicious rum blend. Strong of notes of banana's foster and pastries. Just the right amount of woodspice
Pretty good for a run. Good for sipping. Aftertaste is a little strange
The best sipping rum there is
This was my first sipping rum many years ago. It's still an old favorite, at the price it is hard to beat. I consider this a 'daily drinker' but certainly not my favorite.
Zaya is a good rum. I enjoyed it more when it was from Guatemala.
Smooth, taste good, but a bit too sweet for our palate.
