The Guatemalan Rum that was initially distilled by Industrias Licoreras de Guatemala that served as a bridge to a world of delicious Spirit for many is now in its second incarnation. You see, after being acquired by Diageo in 2008, its production was moved to Trinidad and Tobago, opening a new chapter for the Spirit.
Zaya Gran Reserva 16 is a blend of juices aged up to 16 years with the Master Blender meticulously selecting each component to ensure the rich and complex taste profile remains consistent. It's crafted with blackstrap molasses that are tailor-made for extended aging periods in barrels. Distilled in a five-column stainless steel still, it's an 80-proof Rum with a rich sweetness, vanilla, caramel, spice, and oak notes. The sleek and sexy bottle oozes quality while also paying tribute to the hummingbird and chaconia flower ― two national symbols of Trinidad and Tobago.
