The third Rye masterpiece.

WhistlePig is shorthand for innovation, pushing forward and upgrading. It’s also an awesome name and a fun image to have in one’s mind. The story started in 2007 when the founding crew bought a farm in Vermont. They teamed up with Master Distiller Dave Pickerell and discovered a stock of a decade-old Canadian Whiskey. They finished and bottled it at the farm and wrote the first chapter in their Whiskey-making tale. WhistlePig’s principle is taking old school approaches, adapting them to new ways, and looking for the best methods to create booze. Surrounded by goats, sheep, horses, bees, and yes, pigs, wonderful expressions emerge from the farm. Their most famous one, the 10 Year Old even appeared in Breaking Bad.

Their third Farmstock Rye release is quite historical, since it's the first ever majority WhistlePig Whiskey. While the previous two iterations came from Indiana or Alberta, Number 003 is mostly a Vermonter with 52% 3YO WhistlePig Rye. Other parts of the blend are 6YO Whiskey (31%) and a 10YO from Alberta (17%). Farmstock III is a Triple Terroir Whiskey, which means it comes from WhistlePig rye grain and local water source, and it's aged in custom-made Vermont White oak barrels. The Spirit is aromatic, oaky and warm, and it's really a no-brainer why WhistlePig is currently the most awarded creator of Rye Whiskeys.

Ratings & Reviews
Gregory
Gregory,
It’s bad. It’s nothing like their other offerings. It’s like drinking Canadian Club after you smoked it for a few hours. Just bad.

Justin
Justin,
This is a great tasting rye. It’s not to harsh on the old taste buds!

Gregory
Gregory,
It’s like if Canada had a Rye.

Mark
Mark,
i really like this rye from Whistlepig. for me it comes across as a softer flavor than the 6,10,12 but still rich and smooth that you would expect if you have tried the others from WP.

Nicholas
Nicholas,
As with all Whistlepig products, this farmstock rye is exceptionally smooth and extremely pleasing to the palate. Great neat or in a Manhattan. Highly recommend.

Michael
Michael,
Drinkable. Smooth. Distinct.

Matthew

Corey
Corey,
All around delicious

Derek
Derek,
Incredibly smooth for being mostly a 3 year whiskey. I only have the 10 year to compare to for their other varieties but definitely holds up the standard imo.

Gary
Gary,
Very smooth for a Rye. Great flavor and easy to drink.

guest,
Best whiskey I've ever had, nothing taste like this one or can compare, it is Perfect from start to finish with every sip. I've tried over 15 different brands and this one is my #1 favorite of all time.

Bryce
Bryce,
One of my favorite Ryes to date. A create combination of spice, brown sugar, and nuttiness. Leaves you wanting another sip, and yes you will always take that sip! You will not be disappointed.

Bryce
Bryce,
This stuff will fill you with excitement and joy as the Lucious juice falls down your throat. Every sip will be better than the last. The rye doesn't burn, but gives way to dried spices and fruits with a little brown sugar. Worth the price, hands down!

Beau
Beau,
Hands down, my favorite whiskey. It makes me sad it's short lived in this world...

John
John,
Not as smooth as advertised, but still a very good rye whiskey. The 10-year version isn’t worth the price considering other eyes that are comparable in taste.
