Your favorite Rum cocktails now have a new favorite Rum designed to make them great.

We’ve heard a lot of origin stories in the Spirits business, so it’s hard to impress us these days. But the story of Marc Farrell is pretty darned impressive. He was born in the Caribbean Island of Trinidad and Tobago. At the ripe old age of sixteen he left to study chemical engineering… at MIT. He went on to get a Master in Philosophy from Cambridge and an MBA from some school called Harvard. At the age of thirty-three he became the youngest VP in Starbucks history. Last year he stepped out on his own to launch a new Caribbean Rum brand "Ten to One," to develop a contemporary, elevated Rum experience. See what we mean? Impressive, right?

Ten To One Caribbean White Rum did not arrive as an accident. It’s NOT just an un-aged distillate like so many other clear Spirits. Ten To One Caribbean White Rum was designed for cocktails from the get-go. It is a blend of premium column still Rum from the Dominican Republic and pot still Rum from Jamaica. The blend has been married and bottled at 45% ABV, with ZERO added sugars, colorings, or flavorings — as it should be.

What does Ten To One Caribbean White Rum taste like?

The Flavor Spiral™ shows the most common flavors that you'll taste in Ten To One Caribbean White Rum and gives you a chance to have a taste of it before actually tasting it.

We invented Flavor Spiral™ here at Flaviar to get all your senses involved in tasting drinks and, frankly, because we think that classic tasting notes are boring.

A little bit of etymology; nobody really knows where the word Rum comes from. Most popular suggestions are: Rum (the Romani word for potent), Rumbullion (an uproar), Saccharum (sugar in Latin), Rummer (a Dutch drinking glass).

guest
guest,
The slightly higher alcohol content in the white rum adds a subtle kick to any cocktail that really adds another flavor dimension. Most white rums are overshadowed by the cocktail's flavors making them interchangeable. Once you try a cocktail with the Ten To One white, other rum cocktails will feel like something's missing

Kemi
Kemi,
I thought that I was a dark rum aficionado, but Ten To One's White Rum has emphatically won me over with its wonderful aromas and unique flavors in my daiquiris and beyond!

Amy
Amy,
Absolutely love this white rum. Has just the right amount of funk from esters, thanks to the Jamaican rum. Excellent in a classic daiquiri. Might be my new go-to white rum!

Pierre
Pierre,
While I enjoy some of the floral notes in the aroma and fruitiness in the taste it is like the rum equivalent of baijiu. There's a copper/pot-like aftertaste that lingers long after you drink it. Even when used in cocktails it makes the drink sweeter and floral tasting but the aftertaste is ever present and brings down the whole mix
