Your favorite Rum cocktails now have a new favorite Rum designed to make them great.

We’ve heard a lot of origin stories in the Spirits business, so it’s hard to impress us these days. But the story of Marc Farrell is pretty darned impressive. He was born in the Caribbean Island of Trinidad and Tobago. At the ripe old age of sixteen he left to study chemical engineering… at MIT. He went on to get a Master in Philosophy from Cambridge and an MBA from some school called Harvard. At the age of thirty-three he became the youngest VP in Starbucks history. Last year he stepped out on his own to launch a new Caribbean Rum brand "Ten to One," to develop a contemporary, elevated Rum experience. See what we mean? Impressive, right?

Ten To One Caribbean White Rum did not arrive as an accident. It’s NOT just an un-aged distillate like so many other clear Spirits. Ten To One Caribbean White Rum was designed for cocktails from the get-go. It is a blend of premium column still Rum from the Dominican Republic and pot still Rum from Jamaica. The blend has been married and bottled at 45% ABV, with ZERO added sugars, colorings, or flavorings — as it should be.

What does Ten To One Caribbean White Rum taste like?

The Flavor Spiral™ shows the most common flavors that you'll taste in Ten To One Caribbean White Rum and gives you a chance to have a taste of it before actually tasting it.

We invented Flavor Spiral™ here at Flaviar to get all your senses involved in tasting drinks and, frankly, because we think that classic tasting notes are boring.

Rum used to be accepted as form of currency in Europe and Australia, a practice we should probably bring back into fashion.

Tasting Notes

Appearance / Color

Nose / Aroma / Smell
The aromas is floral with notes of jasmine, honeysuckle, and lemongrass over white pepper and coriander.

Flavor / Taste / Palate
The flavor profile starts with the aroma notes, adding lemon and orange zest and mineral notes.

Taken neat, the finish is clean and spicy.
Ratings & Reviews
While I enjoy some of the floral notes in the aroma and fruitiness in the taste it is like the rum equivalent of baijiu. There's a copper/pot-like aftertaste that lingers long after you drink it. Even when used in cocktails it makes the drink sweeter and floral tasting but the aftertaste is ever present and brings down the whole mix
