A full bodied, flavorful Spice Rum celebrating a cultural icon that raises Tiki cocktails to an art form.

Norman Keith Collins was an unconventional artist known world-wide as “Sailor Jerry.” And whether you know it or not, you have seen the influence of his work. He was a wanderer and sailor in the Navy who learned the craft of Tattooing from Tatts Thomas of Chicago. He set up shop in Honolulu just before World War II and soon had his body art spread far and wide across the US. He had three protégés over the years — artists Mike Malone, Zeke Owen, and someone else you may have heard of named Ed Hardy (the fashion designer). Hardy and Malone partnered with Steven Grasse — owner of the Tamworth Distillery in New Hampshire — to manage the artwork and legacy of Sailor Jerry, including the making of a navy-style Rum in his honor.

Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum can be happily sipped neat or on the rocks. But we have to say that this Spiced Rum was designed to be a base for tropical cocktails, specifically of the Tiki variety. It is a smooth, aged Rum with all natural spices and a hint of citrus. Quality ingredients all the way. But the important thing here is that it is also 46% ABV and that means you’ll be able to appreciate the flavor of this Rum in a Mai Tai, Hurricane, Planter’s Punch, or any one of the dozens of classic Tiki drinks. This is the original and it’s definitely a notch above the rest of the class.

From the first pop of the cork this aromatic dram wafts vanilla, cinnamon, allspice, and clove around the room.

The finish is long, sweet, and spicy.
