A truly unique Tequila with deep, rich, and complex flavors spilling over the glass.

About twenty years ago, Iñaki Orozco inherited 620 acres of land in the Jalisco State. We call that a jackpot! The land had been passed down in the family for nearly two hundred years, but had never been developed or planted. Iñaki saw the potential and — over the next few years — he planted 175,000 shoots of Weber Blue Agave on his land. The first harvest in 2008 yielded the first bottles of Riazul Tequila. Today, Riazul’s three core Tequilas are highly-rated and award-winning examples of Mexican pride.

Just like a fine Single Malt Whisky, Riazul Tequila Añejo is made exceptional by the specialness of the wood and the length of the aging. It’s aged a full two years — longer than any other añejo Tequila in its class. And it’s aged in French XO Cognac casks made from Burgundy oak. Quite frankly, we haven’t sampled any other Tequilas that do it that way. No wonder it scored 94 points and is so highly regarded by Tequila experts. If you’re a fan of fine Tequila, you’ve got to get a bottle and try it for yourself.

What does Riazul Tequila Añejo taste like?

The Flavor Spiral™ shows the most common flavors that you'll taste in Riazul Tequila Añejo and gives you a chance to have a taste of it before actually tasting it.

We invented Flavor Spiral™ here at Flaviar to get all your senses involved in tasting drinks and, frankly, because we think that classic tasting notes are boring.

Scott,
A great neat pour and antidote to people who think tequila is for sugary mixed drinks.

Danny

Excellent straight or on the rocks.

Brian
Brian,
Hard to find another anejo this smooth and complex under $50. A must try for any real tequila fan!

Daniel
Daniel,
This is my favorite tequila. Smooth long finish, perfect for sipping neat. My only knock on this one is that it doesn’t have as much of the tequila / agave flavor that you expect in a tequila. Otherwise it’s perfect

Seth
Seth,
Eye opening tequila - so good it makes you realize you haven't really had something quite on this level before. I've had some very expensive big brand label tequilas that were far less impressive than this. Exceptional stuff. Absolutely perfect. Silky smooth with depth and slightly sweet without even a hint of syrup - hint of fruit on nose and exhale. Slight smoke on tongue.

Larry,
Lamp Spleen??? Wish I didn’t know now, what I didn’t know a moment ago. I love the tequila. The flavors are just amazing. Some of the best tequila I have ever enjoyed.

Jay
Jay,
Relying on my 40 years of drinking all kinds and brands of tequila, this is the smoothest, most tasty, and finest ever. You will never go back to any other brand.

Sean
Sean,
Fantastic Anejo! I had to replace my sadly departed bottle from Arizona and i couldn't be happier. Lovely smooth sipping tequila. As mentioned, don't mix this, just have it straight. Flavor spiral is pretty accurate, the notes of caramel come through clearly, though i also got some vanilla which was nice.

Allyson,
Not generally a tequila fan but this is fantastic. It’s perfect for sipping and mixing. The flavor spiral is spot on. This is a new staple in my home bar.

One of the best anejo tequilas I've ever had! Definitely a sipper for me, sweet, smooth and savory! With a nose that will keep you coming back.

Rich
Rich,
Fantastic smooth tequila. So surprised at first taste. Don’t make a Marquita, put it in a sipping glass.

Matthew
Matthew,
This is almost too complex for my taste. I know, that’s counterintuitive for describing spirits, but I feel there isn’t enough tequila in this tequila. Not bad, not bad at all... but for me, just a little too busy.

Donald
Donald,
Loved it! Amazing sipper! As complex and enjoyable as life itself. Highly recommended.

David
David,
Absolute blown away by this tequila's flavor. I was expecting the smoking flavor of typical anejos. This has a very fruit forward, deep, and unique flavor. It tastes a bit like some sort of citrus crossed with bubble gum. I would definitely recommend.

Robin
Robin,
This is the smoothest tequila i've had. We drink it neat.
