Producer Mezcal Tepeztate is crafted from Maguey Marmorata by Maestro Celestino Sernas in Santiago Matatlan in Oaxaca, Mexico. The agave needs 16 years to mature before it is harvested in Sierra Sur and naturally fermented in open air for 3 days before beingcrushed by a stone tahona. Distilled in copper pot stills and bottled at 40.2% ABV, this authentic Mezcal releases a flavorful abundance of citrus, jalapeno, smoke, white pepper, earthy and mineral notes on the well-balanced palate.
