Pinhook Whiskey saw the light of day in 2010 when barman Sean Josephs and his gang of top designers stepped together and made magic happen. The company's name comes from 'pin hooking'—an expression used to denote buying young thoroughbred horses, nurturing them, training them, and finally setting them into the glorious horse-racing world. The Whiskey brand respects this practice and believes that rearing up a good horse is similar to raising frisky Spirits—both need time, patient hands and a whole lot of love to thrive. The end result? A Whiskey similar to a wine vintage, each year different and reminiscent of that particular snapshot of time it was bottled at.
Pinhook 2022 High Proof Bourbon Whiskey might just be the most beastly one of the Pinhook lot! This stunning Bourbon has more kick than a wild mare, with an impressive mash bill of 75% Corn, 15% Rye, and 10% Malted Barley. Clocking in at a face-slapping 58% ABV, the drinking experience you'll have with this one will be burnt to your memory for many years to come. You'll be able to easily recall its fig-bursting, apple cider and marzipan aromas together with dried papaya, coffee, and burnt caramel flavors. As with all Pinhook bottles, this one represents the race house that is Bourbondini—a force of nature at 16.1 hands tall, born and bred in Kentucky and eager to get the racetrack a shot!
