Fresh, clean, and modern with a pure Mexico spirit.
Milagro Tequila is the brainchild of Danny Schneeweiss and Moy Guindi from Mexico City. They stole master distiller Pedro Juarez from “one of the largest Tequila distributors in the world.” And they ain’t telling.
They only use 100% local Jalisco blue agave which they slow-roast for 36 hours. And uniquely, they distill in both a pot and column still, then blend the results — which are awesome — to achieve greater complexity. So when you see the stylish marketing and contemporary styles, don’t be fooled. For these guys, Tequila is serious business and they are creating a line of truly remarkable Tequilas that have won serious awards. Bravo!
The top of the Milagro line are their “Barrel Select” Tequilas. The hand-crafted glass bottles are sculptural decanters that reflect that quality with a representation of the blue agave plant inside the glass. The presentation is a work of art all by itself. It almost looks too good to drink. But drink it anyway … this stuff is really good and you can always go for a second bottle.
Like all of their Tequilas, Milagro Select Barrel Reserve Reposado is 100% premium, Jalisco blue agave. In this case, “reposado” means that the spirit is “rested” in a combination of American and French oak casks for 3 to 6 months, yielding a perfect balance of agave and oak character.
Perfect for light sipping.
