Straight sipper from Brooklyn
Where could be better to open a craft distillery than the city of dreams? Van Brunt Stillhouse have done just that, opening an artisanal distillery in Brooklyn, New York. Opened in January 2012, this distillery places importance on originality and authenticity. All their wheat, corn and rye are sourced from local New York farmers, giving them the best ingredients to make their products. The urban settings give this distillery and their product a nice urban edge, they are definitely worth watching!
The molasses used in this Rum is organic and sourced from small family farms. It is also non-processed, being laid to dry in the sun. This Rum is also aged for four-five months in new American Oak casks to give it a rich nutty flavour alongside the characteristic sweet molasses notes.
