Mark it with a bee…
When the folks at Caledonia Spirits tell their story, twenty minutes later they will still be talking about honey bees and old farm outhouses. Gosh-darn they ramble on! But we can boil it down for you.
They started as beekeepers, driving back and forth across the country moving their bee colonies, pollinating crops, and selling raw honey. One day they decided to settle down and moved into a building in northern Vermont that sits half in the United States and half in Canada. In fact, it used to be a Prohibition-era bar where you could walk in on the US "dry side" and casually saunter over to the Canada side for a legal drink. That’s pretty cool. They used their farming skills and called upon their Scottish distilling heritage to found a craft Spirits operation on the outskirts of The Great White North.
Thank goodness they got good at making craft Spirits because copy writing ain’t their cup’o juice. But they did indeed get very good at the distillation stuff, winning prestigious awards and a lot of fans all over the region. Today they have three core products under their Barr Hill brand: Gin, Vodka, and Tom Cat barrel-aged Gin.
Their beautiful Vodka is crafted from raw, organic Vermont honey sourced from one of 1,900 colonies. Soft notes of honey and vanilla, with a smooth, clean finish and a unique, crisp texture. Sealed with beeswax for the ultimate honeymakers touch.
