The brainchild of third-gen Tequilero, Gildardo Partida, Adictivo burst onto the scene in 2016 with a bang — and a mere 2,500 liters of each type of Tequila (Blanco, Reposado, Añejo, and Extra Añejo). Hailing from El Arenal, also known as The Gateway to Tequila Route, this newcomer to the ultra-premium category sold out within two months, leaving the customers parched for more. The Adictivo team is deeply traditional, fiercely guarding the integrity of their agave and aging their liquids in French white oak barrels until they're ready to make their debut. Their Spirits pride themselves in unique flavors that appeal to the more mature, sweeter palates of dark Spirit drinkers.

Let's get down to the groove of Extra Añejo Tequila. When done right, this premium drink elevates the blue agave plant's unique characteristics to a harmonious crescendo of flavor. And Adictivo Extra Añejo does it with style, adding a touch of complexity, beauty, and depth to their liquid masterpiece. Made from 100% blue agave, born and raised in the heart of Jalisco, Mexico, the Tequila spent seven long years aging in French oak casks, soaking up all the right notes. It flaunts a dark amber with reddish hues, showcasing a medley of roasted flavors, fruity aromas, and toasted oak notes that perfectly blend with dried fruits, ending with a velvety vanilla finish.

Tequila unlike any other

As a bourbon and rum snob I’m admittedly still finding may way through tequila. All of the Adictivos I’ve had are excellent but the extra anejo is otherworldly. This isn’t just one of the most approachable tequilas I’ve ever had it’s one of the most approachable spirits. The soft almost caramel like mouth gives way to a sweet molasses taste with just a slight agave bite. You could argue that this is better suited as an after dinner aperitif but I love it any time at any time of the year. Give it a try it always wows friends.
