Heaven Hill’s gift to Kentucky is reborn nationwide.
Heaven Hill Distillers is unique. They are one of the oldest and largest Bourbon distillers in the world, they have the second largest standing inventory of aging Bourbon, and they have grown to become the seventh largest supplier of Spirits in the US. BUT… they are still family-owned. In fact, they are the only family-owned production house left in Kentucky. God bless the Shapira family! The Spirit brands owned and controlled by Heaven Hill includes Evan Williams, Elijah Craig, their namesake Heaven Hill, and many dozens more.
Up until 2019, the most popular Bourbon in Kentucky was only available in Kentucky — it was Heaven Hill’s six year-old Bottled in Bond. Some people have called it Heaven Hill’s gift to Kentucky. The previous year they announced that this fan-favorite was going to be discontinued. It is no coincidence that they just announced a new, replacement flagship Heaven Hill Spirit. Heaven Hill 7 year old Bottled in Bond has the same high-corn mash bill — 78% corn, 12% malted barley, 10% rye — and same Bottled in Bond designation at 50% ABV and federally secured authenticity. The difference is an extra year in the barrel and updated packaging. Now available for nationwide release, no doubt this will become a staple of back-bar inventories all over the country.
