There wouldn’t be Blackleaf Vodka if Washington-based Kevin Larkai hadn’t decided to go on vacation to the Cognac region in France. There, he met Bertrand Laclie, the descendant of Rene Laclie who started distilling Cognac back in 1899. A collaboration was born and the pair founded Blackleaf Vodka, an organic and environmentally-friendly Spirit that was created to bring a premium drinking experience to you. These guys wanted to fuse organic with sexy and sleek, hence, the name. Black for sophistication and leaf for organic purity. Très sexy!

One of the first French organic Vodkas, Blackleaf Vodka is hand-made from organic winter wheat in the French Cognac region. The wheat hasn’t been touched by pesticides or synthetic fertilizers, bearing a USDA-NOP Organic Certificate. They use a 5-stage copper pot artisanal distillation and spring water, filtered through champagne limestone, to bring you an exceptionally smooth yet bold Vodka. Every ingredient plays a part: even the water imparts its unique flavors to the flavor profile with hints of peppercorn, nut, and spiced pear. Its silky smoothness brought it Silver at the 2017 San Francisco Spirits Competition and Platinum at the 2016 SIP Awards.
