Truly unique California Whiskey.

Wolves is a new venture from Jon Buscemi and James Bond, known footwear and lifestyle entrepreneurs based in Los Angeles. Jon and James, along with their partners at Wolves, set out to create a blend that is crafted along the lines of their existing brands and lifestyles. With that in mind they went on a hunt for a Master Distiller and came across Marko Karakasevic (of Charbay fame) at his place in Northern California

There, they made a blend with Whiskey distilled from Stout beer, aged in French oak barrels for 8 years, 5 year old Pilsner Whiskey aged in Char 3 New American oak barrels, and some Rye. Marko takes things a step further by using a rare copper alambic Charentais pot still - it's a rarely used machine, as there are only 5 of this particular still in use. When the juice is complete it is then bottled in heavy French-cut glass. Each bottle is wrapped in Italian sheepskin leather, and then hand numbered. Each detail hand crafted and curated for your enjoyment. The still isn’t as efficient as column stills and this run is limited to 898 bottles.

Donna
Donna,
Finally! My husband cracked that bottle open, I gifted him for Father’s Day, and it’s nearly half gone. It’s his nightly sipper, and he particularly enjoys how the hops come through . Stoked for batch #2..I’ll have to order multiples, since he won’t be waiting to tuck into the next bottles. I’m sure the rationing of existing supply will begin soon

Jason
Jason,
It was a little to smokey for my taste. I will give it a go again though.. worth seeing if I change my position.

David

The best American whiskey I've ever had. GREAT stuff...wish I could order a few more of these! Here's hoping there will be another run soon.

Mark
Mark,
I guess I'm just not a huge rye fan. A bit too much "bite" for me, and could have used a bit more hops.

Chris

Let You know in a year 😁

James
James,
The single best American whiskey I've ever had and one of the best overall I've ever had. An amazing bottle. Wish there was more, hopefully there will be a second run!

Michael
Michael,
Drinks like a whiskey, finishes like a cognac, the hop finish is the perfect compliment to all the richness this whiskey embodies. Even gives the oldest whiskey and Bourbons a run for the money! High recommend wish I bought more than 2 bottles!

Eric
Eric,
So tasty! Best I’ve had.

Phill

Very smooth, interesting flavor, very good finish. The second sip was even better.

Christopher
Christopher,
Quite young and hot, but really opens up with water. The hops are extremely apparent in the aftertaste. Overall, an interesting pour, but not something I'd drink without diluting a bit first.

Carly
Carly,
Definitely taste the hops—super interesting! Love it with a couple drops of water. And the sheepskin leather label smells so awesome, you know it’s protecting something damn good.

Nicholas
Nicholas,
Great presentation! Better taste!

Jeremy
Jeremy,
The smell of the leather label is worth the price of admission alone. The juice is damn good too. Very different.
