Another Unique California blend from Wolves
Two Angeleno footwear and lifestyle entrepreneurs, Jon Buscemi and James Bond, united their creative talents and founded Wolves. Their first mission was to create a Whiskey blend that's crafted along the lines of their existing brands and lifestyles. When they stumbled upon the boy genius Marko Karakasevic (of Charbay fame), they annointed him their Master Distiller for their first release. They came up with a truly unique expression called First Run that sold out on Flaviar in a matter of days back in May of 2019. First Run was like nothing the market had seen or tasted before, and many of you loved it.
Now, Wolves cardinal Whiskey has an intriguing and equally rare spin-off: Winter Run. To make Winter Run, Marko used his rare copper alembic pot still imported from Cognac, France, and ensured his new release is full-bodied and rich. Through experimenting and tinkering, the Wolves team created an incredible blend that consists of Whiskey distilled from craft Stout beer (matured for 8 years in French Oak casks), Whiskey distilled from craft Pilsner beer (matured for 5 years in New American Oak), spicy Rye Whiskey, and a Single Malt that spent nine years in used French Oak. Each bottle is hand-wrapped in Italian sheepskin (get it?), is topped with a maple wood cork, and arrives in a hand-stitched canvas sleeve designed to fit the Winter Run bottle like a glove.
They only made 1338 bottles and we expect these will go as quickly as the first batch. Get yours here before it's too late.
