The Rock diving-elbow-drops a Tequila

When one thinks of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, many things come to mind. It might be spinebusters, Samoan drops, and people's elbows. Or any of his roles in massive blockbusters films, including Luke in the Fast and the Furious, the titular Scorpion King, or Dr. Bravestone in the recent Jumanji films. What doesn't come to mind, is Tequila ― but that's about to change, as The Rock has teamed up with a family-owned distillery in the highlands of Jalisco, the cradle of the famous Mexican Spirit.

We won't bore you with too many deets regarding the distillation process but we like to think that it all begins with The Rock punching the Teremana blue Weber agaves into a pulp. Then they're roasted in brick ovens, fermented, and distilled in hand-made copper pot stills. These folks are adamant about doing it all by hand, just like the gods of booze intended. Oh, and this one is Blanco, which stands for unaged.

Appearance / Color
Clear

Nose / Aroma / Smell
It's fresh and herbal on the nose with obvious agave, as well as some citrusy and earthy notes, vanilla, and a hint of peppery spice.

Flavor / Taste / Palate
There's more agave, vanilla, and lemon zest on the palate, making it delightfully crisp.

Finish
The finish is nice and smooth and those agave, vanilla, and zesty notes linger a while.

Kenji
Kenji,
The best blanco I have tried. Smooth, clean great agave flavor.

Josh
Josh,
Got this because it is The Rock's brand. Not a big tequila fan, but it is pretty good

William
William,
Smooth, light tequila with classic taste. Mixes well, sippable if you want. The reposada I had came with a TERRIBLE smell; this one had none of that, in fact almost no nose. My guess is that both expressions will even out as it seems there's a lot of differences from bottle to bottle.

Stephen
Stephen,
Love it! Very smooth! I’ve never been one for sipping tequila, but this and the Teremana Resposado make it a tasty experience.

Sergio
Sergio,
I love it. Different from what I normally drink. Normally don't drink white tequila but I was impressed. It is smooth and enjoyable. I enjoyed it chilled.

Todd
Todd,
The Rock brought it with tequila.

Steven
Steven,
Very good tequila, in my opinion, the reposado is better. This makes a good margarita though

Matt
Matt,
Very nice tequila. Super smooth. It has a buttery aroma, with hints of citrus and vanilla on the palate. Very easy to drink straight. It's great slightly chilled.

guest,
Very disappointing. I had heard such great reviews and ratings about this Blanco, and it just falls so incredibly short. It’s a little smooth, but it tastes like really dirty water. Specifically, the taste is awful right on the nose, and then nothing. But that initial taste lingers on the pallet forever. Not good to be sipped, taken as a shot, or in a margarita. Would absolutely never buy or recommend again.

Melanie
Melanie,
I'm not a tequila fan. I decided to expand my horizons a bit and went for a blanco, because I tend to enjoy them more. This bottle did not disappoint! It goes down smooth, the flavor is subtle and refreshing, and it paired great with some club soda and a generous squeeze of lime. Definitely a great summer drink option.

Very disappointing after reading the other reviews. Stale finish, hangs on pallet. We drank after ELTesoro and had to pour out drinks. No comparison
