The Son is back to redeem you

Here’s a fancy phrase for you: omne trium perfectum. It means everything that comes in threes is perfect. That’s why they only made three parts of Back to the Future. Son of a Peat, a Flaviar Original inspired by the Flaviar community is back for the third time. It's unique in its own ways but unmistakably SOP.

BATCH 03 The Redeemer is a wonderfully dark and powerful addition that turns the series into a trilogy. The twelve-Whisky blend combines the magic of Islay, Speyside, the Islands, and the Highlands in one diabolical Spirit.

Like its predecessors, Son of a Peat III was bottled at the peak of its power - at cask strength, clocking at a vigorous 53.8% ABV. It's as authentic as they come: no added color and non-chill filtered. Hand-blended, hand-bottled, hand-sealed, and hand-labeled.

Everyone’s been saying these are unprecedented times. Well, then it’s time for an unprecedented Whisky. Where there’s fire, there's smoke, so join the shadowy side of Scotch. Submerge yourself in the Son of a Peat’s dark brooding soul and experience his brilliance and passionate insanity. He will be with you in spirit every time you pop the cork and smell the smoke.

What does redemption taste like?

Like smoke, of course. Your nose shall be captivated by uncompromising notes of peat, teamed up with earthy hints of smoked meats and a slightly medicinal undercurrent. On your palate, a fierce battle for dominance between warm notes of smoke, oak, nuts, and Sherry, will take place. Peat will prevail, naturally. All will be washed away by an endless finish with notes of chocolate, and a wee bitterish whisper that’ll take you back where everything started: the isle of Islay.

Scotch Whisky is seldom aged in new barrels. Bourbon and Tennessee Whiskey casks are usually used for maturation. In addition to that, Whisky is often matured or finished in various wine casks such as Sherry or Port.
Blended Whiskies are the result of years of craftsmanship and dedication. A master blender does not simply wake up one day with a profound ability to create a cohesive and enjoyable liquid. From nosing the liquid to working out quantities of each different grain and malt to go into the blend, a master blender can take years, if not decades, to train.
Scotland is home to more than 20 million casks of maturing Whisky. That’s four for every person living there. Nuts!
Can Scotch go bad? Technically, an unopened bottle of Scotch can last forever. Air is the only true evil to Whisky; once the liquid is oxidized it is no longer immortal. After opening, as long as you store your Whisky in a cool, dry place, it will last another 5 years.
90% of all Scotch Whisky released in the market is a blend. That’s a hell of a lot.
Whisky or Whiskey? The spelling differs geographically. In Scotland, Japan, and some other parts of the world, distilleries usually spell it Whisky; in Ireland and the USA, they spell it Whiskey.
