All about Reisetbauer

Hans Reisetbauer began his obsession of distilling in 1994. On his family farm-house in Axberg, Austria he planted the first orchards from which he distilled his first Eaux de Vie. The dedication and care for top quality fruits, distillation, and innovation brought him Worldwide fame, and consequently brought his Spirits to restaurants, to bars, to all corners of the globe.

The climate and soils make for excellent growing conditions. In 1996, the company started producing Whisky, and Gin followed in 2006. Today, they also make a Grappa to go alongside the rest of the vast product line up.

Hans believes the care and quality that goes into selecting his home-grown fruit for the Spirits is what makes them world-famous. The same can be said for the Gin; hand selected botanicals create a Spirit in which every batch is nosed and tasted before bottling.

All about Reisetbauer distillery

The Reisetbauer Distillery in Austria is famed for its fruit Eaux de Vie – also known as Schnapps – but the Founder, Hans Reisetbauer, didn’t start distilling until 1994. He was studying mechanical engineering at the time, and planted an orchard of apple trees, as do so many fruit farmers in the region.

The climate and soils make for excellent growing conditions, and the original orchard soon grew to 24,000 trees and nine different types of fruit.
