A serious limited edition Bourbon with deep flavor and amazing mouth feel..

Some families talk of having a “dynasty.” The Wathen-Medley family has been distilling and aging Whiskey and Bourbon for eight generations. The current iteration of the family business came into being immediately upon the repeal of Prohibition in 1933. The Charles W. Medley Distillery in Owensboro, Kentucky, supplied most of their production to other brands and blends, but since the very beginning they have stabbed off the best casks for their house brands, Medley Bros. and Wathen’s.

For Wathen's Barrel Proof Bourbon, the good folks at Medley Bros. Distillery set aside a limited number of casks for this special release. This is the first year, and there are only 25 casks. And since this is a serious deal to them — each bottle has a different ABV ranging from 54.8% to 58.3%. The mash bill is a trade secret, but it is high in corn with barley taking the number two spot and only a small amount of rye. So, it will be a sweeter Bourbon with a good viscosity from the barley and just a hint of rye spice. Our mouth is watering already. Wathen’s is hugely popular with Bourbon aficionados already, and all of their single barrel releases sell out fast. This new, special release is widely anticipated and — if you love Bourbon — grab a bottle of this precious Bourbon juice while you can.
