Kyrö Wood Smoke Malt Rye Whisky

If you like the flavor of burned rubber and charred ash, this is for you. Every year there’s one I dump out. This is it.

This is smoke smoke and more smoke! I completely understand how this isn’t a whiskey for everyone but I for one love a good Smokey whiskey. I do wish it had a bit more complexity from start to finish but overall great product in my opinion.

This is my first buy of the Advent calendar 12/18. Might not even be a rotator but a staple alongside JW blue, Mac12, and Lagavulin 16 to always have on hand. Very unusual smoke character, and not overly smokey. Love it!

Other reviewera are giving low ratings because it was in their Advent calendar and it wasn't for them. As a smokey whiskey this is amazing. I love the smokey flavor and this may replace my new favorite based on price point. I fell in love with Bowmore 18 because of the smokey flavor, but this has managed to capture that at a third of the price. That said, the smoke flavor punches you in the face and isn't as smooth as others. But I find it difficult to find that flavor at a decent value.

Not very good. It smelled of smoke and tasted like smoke.
