What happens when two absolute legends join forces?

Nowadays, you see the word legend thrown around all the time. But there's really no other right word to describe the basketball superstar, 6-time NBA Champion and 2-time Olympic gold medalist Scottie Pippen and the famed Wine and Spirits maker Dave Phinney that made his name in Napa Valley.

The pair became friends and came together to create this nothing-short-of-spectacular Bourbon. Showcasing a black-and-white photo of Pippen’s fingers on the label, Digits Scottie Pippen Bourbon Whiskey is a five-year-old Bourbon, blended from the existing Savage & Cooke stock and tasted by Pippen. It's a smooth sipper if we've ever seen one and it boasts an aromatic, clean and smooth palate with flavors of caramelized apples, brown sugar, and spice. It was initially only available in Chicago, Pippen's hometown. “I’ve always celebrated with bourbon, now getting to celebrate with my own is something very special to me,” says Pippen.

Phinney is perhaps most famous for his flagship blend “The Prisoner” as well as for being the consultant for renowned brands and producing Wines from his vineyards across Europe and the U.S. In 2014, he founded Savage & Cooke Distillery on Mare Island, which revived the island's former shipyard glory.

Today, Savage & Cooke produces an award-winning range of Whiskeys, including Second Glance American Whiskey, The Burning Chair Bourbon, Lip Service Rye, and Bad Sweater Whiskey.
