Traveller Whiskey: A Master Distiller & Artist Collaboration

There has been Whiskey made on the site of the Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky, for more than two hundred years. The first distillery operation that can be continuously traced to Buffalo Trace was started in 1812 by Harrison Blanton (yes, that Blanton). He sold the operation in 1870 and it was renamed the Old Fire Copper (O. F. C.) Distillery. It has been bought and sold many times over the intervening decades, but Sazerac has owned the property since 1992. They produce a wide range of Bourbons and Spirits — including their signature Bourbon.

Traveller Whiskey, a groundbreaking collaboration between Buffalo Trace Distillery's Master Distiller, Harlen Wheatley, and 8X Grammy Award-Winning Artist Chris Stapleton, introduces Blend No. 40. Meticulously selected from over 50 blends, this premium expression embodies sophistication and craftsmanship.

Vitalis

This may be worth $8 or $9 dollars to an alcoholic. I am sure it will get you drunk if you are desperate enough to drink enough of it, but I literally poured out 3/4 of my pour. Gave the bottle to a friend. Not sure what he did with it, but he was not impressed either. Reminded me of when I accidently got some Vitalis hair tonic in my mouth back in the '60s. But, your palate may be different than mine, so don't let me dissuade you from giving it a try. If you like Canadian whiskey (or Vitalis), you may like it.

Solid daily drinker

This is a simple pour. I think it’s very flavorful, but not complex. For the price point, well worth keeping it in your mix of easy to drink libations

Buffalo Trace doing their thing making good flavor and smooth enough for the price. Buffalo Trace just knows how to sell whiskey and bourbon.

Pretty good and worth the money

This is a not heavily oaked or complex whiskey. With that said, it’s not bland and has a good flavor profile. It’s a mistake to compare it to more heavily oaked and higher end whiskies. Overall, it’s pretty tasty and worth the price. Keep in mind that Chis Stapleton would never let an inferior product represent his personal brand if it was “bad” or an underperforming libation. This product is for a broad audience, not someone that will spend $100+ for a bottle. I’ve spent $60 or $70 for whiskey not as good as this one.

It's ok

It's OK for what it is. Not very complex. It would be better if it was a 30 bottle instead of 40 bucks.
If you like Buffalo Trace. Stay with that
