An eco-friendly Rhum that's crafted with 100% sugarcane juice.
Batiste calls their Rhum "The Most Earth-Friendly Cocktail Rhum". The company was founded by Tristan Mermin and has Jon lawson as COO β two super-experienced veterans of the Spirits industry. Tristan is an industry consultant and Jon has worked at Constellation brands, Diageo, Copain Wines, and more. Together they have decades of industry know-how. They have sourced Agricole Rhum from the Caribbean island of Marie-Galante β administered by Guadeloupe β where they deploy sustainable farming and distilling techniques in the production of Rhum Spirits. The raw Rhum is finished and bottled in Northern California.
Batiste Rhum Reserve is made from pure sugarcane juice (as opposed to molasses), just like all their expressions. It isn't just carbon neutral, but rather carbon negative, as well as being non-GMO, plastic-free, fair trade, and additive-free. The Reserve is all single-origin juice that is unblended and aged in Napa, California upwards of 18 months in #4 char barrels that used to hold Rye Whiskey. It's not just an eco-positive and clean Spirit, it's β most importantly β a proper big and rich 90-proof Rhum.
