A delicious Cherry Liqueur with no sugar — or anything else — added

Patti and Dominique Azpeitia have a 1200-acre orchard in Stockton, California, where they grow Bing cherries and walnuts. For years, they sold their produce in bulk wholesale and business was good. But they wanted to do something special… something with their name on it. So they devised a new Cherry Liqueur.
Patique Cherry Liqueur is not your average fruit liqueur. The Azpeitias crush and ferment their cherries on site. The fermented juice is sent to a local distiller where it is distilled into a clear cherry brandy — or eau-de-vie (often abbreviated EDV — very similar to cherry Schnapps. But then they cut 19% ABV with pure Bing cherry juice. Importantly, there is no sugar added. It’s just fermented cherry juice with more cherry juice added in so it’s not overly sweet. It’s delicious as an aperitif on its own. Some people even pour it over ice cream — which is delicious. But here’s a suggestion… think of it as an interesting replacement for Sweet Vermouth in a Manhattan or Negroni Cocktail. You won’t be sorry.
Smartass corner.
“Patique” is a portmanteau — two distinct words combined into one. In this case, it is a combination of the first names of the founders, Patti and Dominique.

Ratings & Reviews
Not what I expected, but not bad. Tasted like any other fruit wine. Not a lot of character left from the Cherries and drier than I would have expected it to be, leading to a bit of a dull flavor profile.
Semi-sweet and smooth. Thought about using this in some baking (black forest cake) but don't want to waste it for that, would prefer to drink this.
Good with a couple ice cubes and a little seltzer.
Reminds me of cough syrup. It is not too sweet and has a bite to it. It should be more smooth and sweet.
I'm trying to figure out what to do with this drink. The cherry taste isn't really sweet, but it's not unpleasant and gives me an impression of dried fruit. It comes with recipies for use as a mixer and a couple of those have been good.
I am disappointed in this.... it's odd that it doesn't taste much like cherry to me.... it's too earthy for me.
I love this liqueur! The unsweetened cherry that's added is so tasty. I'm allergic to wines ~ haven't found one I can drink yet. Also allergic to citrus and quite a few berries. Cherry I *can* have. I don't know what grain was used in this, but it also works for me. It's the closest I've come to being able to drink wine in decades. Alcohol content is higher than wine, but lower than a regular alcohol so pour half! I use a shot glass, but I'm kind of a lightweight. At all events, I'd recommend that you try it if you like wine, liqueurs, or both.
This is growing on me. It is a pleasant cordial and the nose and lingering flavors of cherry but again, I like more robust fruit flavor..all in all, I will definitely repurchase.
I wish that this had more cherry flavor; it tasted much like sweet vermouth.
This cherry liqueur is an elegant addition to several cocktails. It isn't sweet like most cherry liqueurs!
