Kentucky Owl Batch No.1 s a powerful & savory Rye with a history worth telling.

The original Kentucky Owl Whiskey was made by Charles Mortimer Dedman in the late 1800s. After every drop of this "Wise Man’s Whiskey" in inventory was, ahem… "confiscated" by federal agents under mysterious circumstances at the start of Prohibition, the C.M. Dedman Distillery faded into history. But just a few years ago his great-great-grandson — Dixon Dedman — revived the brand, creating the Kentucky Owl Bourbons and Ryes as small batch, super-premium Spirit blends.

Batch No. 1 of Kentucky Owl Straight Rye was released in September of 2017, which was just awarded 95 points by Whisky Advocate as the Highest-Rated Whisky of 2018. That’s right… the very first batch takes top prize. And little wonder. What we have here Ladies & Gents is Kentucky Owl Rye Batch No. 2 that is still hot from the barrel!

This amazing newcomer to the premium Rye world has extremely limited distribution. As word gets out, bottles are going to be even harder to get.

Ratings & Reviews
JC
JC,
Sweet dark fruit and rye on the nose. Honey and spice on the palate, with more cinnamon spice and a little oak on the finish. Terrific pour, and would be a 10 if not for the high price.

William
William,
Really good. Nice nose, smooth for 101 proof and a really nice long finish

Abe
Abe,
This would be a great $60 bottle and an average $100 bottle. Above that, there are many better options

Ronald
Ronald,
This was the worst I've ever had on any kind. I couldn't even tell you the flavors it was like drinking GAS.

This is crazy good Rye. Keep away from it. Its mine.

Mike
Mike,
I’ve never rated a 10 but this wonderful rye would merit that score if not for the price. Sweet nose of honey and ripe fruit, great rye spice without overwhelming the complex flavors of brown sugar, caramel, cinnamon and honey. Cigar paired with - Perdomo 20th Anniversary Sun Grown. Beats Batch No. 1 hands down.

Brian
Brian,
Spectacular!

Brian
Brian,
This was on my "dream bottle" list. I found one for $289.00 in Mississippi, The $198.00 I spent was a very good price! As a rye fan I cannot remember a better bottle, oh wait, I also have the original batch too.

Aaron
Aaron,
Like the batch 1 better but this is a great rye even though it is from MGP

Donald
Donald,
I don't normally drink rye, but this one is worth a try.
