For more than a generation, Don Julio has been the definition of quality Tequila Blanco.

Don Julio Gonzalez started making his own Tequila in 1942 when he was only seventeen years old. Within five years he opened his own distillery, naming it "Primavera" (meaning “Springtime”). He spent the next forty years refining his process and improving the quality of his brands. Seagram came along and invested in 1990s, and Diageo acquired the entire operation in 2014. Today, they make their namesake Don Julio brand of fine Jalisco Tequilas and several other Spirits brands in the Diageo portfolio.

If you point us to a back bar and ask us to whip up a perfect Margarita, you will probably see us reach for two fresh limes, a shaker of ice, one shot of Cointreau, and three shots of Don Julio Blanco Tequila. Don Julio is good Tequila made right and consistent — we’ve never had a bad pour form a bottle of Don Julio. Heck, we’ve never had an average pour either. Every shot of this 100% Weber Blue agave nectar is as good as the last. So, grab a bottle and join us.

Smartass Corner:
The famous action-adventure author Clive Cussler made Don Julio Tequila the favorite drink of his fictional hero Dirk Pitt.

The finish is long for a Blanco with lingering notes of salted sage.
