Locally sourced ingredients and interesting botanicals create a refreshing full-bodied Gin.
A recent addition to the distilling World, the Cotswolds Distillery is finally producing and bottling spirit after one of the most anticipated startups in the industry in years. Pssst... They will also be launching a single malt Whisky at the end of 2017. Definitely one for a future Flaviar release, no doubt!
A combination of juniper, coriander and angelica mix is steeped in the pure wheat spirit for 12 hours before adding locally sourced lavender, bay leaves, grapefruit, lime, black pepper and cardamom to produce a full-bodied but thoroughly refreshing Gin.
The Flavor Spiral™ shows the most common flavors that you'll taste in Cotswolds Dry Gin and gives you a chance to have a taste of it before actually tasting it.
We invented Flavor Spiral™ here at Flaviar to get all your senses involved in tasting drinks and, frankly, because we think that classic tasting notes are boring.

Juniper berry is the main ingredient of Gin. They are usually picked wild by independent workers throughout Europe and sold via distributors to Gin makers worldwide.
Pleasant with floral notes. Good in a martini with just a tad of vermouth, since it doesn`t need much taming.
Rick,
Refreshing and delicious.
ALEXANDER,
Tasted like a pretty standard, lavender forward gin. Not a huge gin person so nothing to write home about
Ryan,
Really enjoyable! Bright and botanical and a little sweet.
Dave,
Good flavor. Happy sipping!
Christopher,
Another good sipping gin, but more traditional in flavor profile. Just a touch of sweetness to keep it approachable and enjoyable.
Brian,
Quite floral with a strong note of lavender. Lightly sweet, herbal finish, but pleasant to sip and would mix well.
William,
Explodes with florals at the start before leveling off with the spice. Nice sipping gin
Michael,
Great gin
Kurt,
Lovely floral taste. Would taste excellent in a fun and tonic (like many have mentioned).
Elizabeth,
Truly amazing! Smooth, hint of lavender, makes a wonderfully cloudy gin and tonic. I'm a fan!
Casey,
Tried it on the rocks and wasn’t a fan. The lavender/floral was a bit much for my liking but might have worked better in a gin and tonic.
Austin,
Classic tasting gin
John,
Wow! Very smooth for a gin. None of that harsh gin bite I’ve had in the past. Very floral and juniper throughout the front and the back, would lend itself well to a negroni.
Courtni,
Great in a G&T!
Robert,
Fruitful
Tyler,
A great aromatic, floral dry gin. Excellent on it's own or in a G&T with lime.
Ryan,
Not a huge gin drinker, it tastes like a straight down the middle gin, typical flavors, dry. Works well in a gin and tonic. I can find similar gins for lower price though.
William,
A quality version of a traditional gin. Heavy juniper, subtle grapefruit. Dry.
Jared,
A Very dry gin with a bit more bite than your standard gin. More of a plant-based taste rather than floral. The first 10 seconds on the tongue are the best. It sort of panders out to a leafy, almost bitter after-taste after that. I still prefer Roku for my go-to gin, however.
Chris,
Strong but soft. Slight lavender with a complex after taste. Delightful to sip
Oliver,
Lovely floral notes. A really classic dry gin. Makes a pretty great Martini. Will definitely be a staple on my bar cart.
Geoffrey,
Aromatic with a delightful flavor. Had it in a sampler and immediately bought a bottle. Top notch drink.
Philip,
Classic
JESS,
Refreshing served over ice, but makes a stellar gimlet. Lots of floral notes with a citrus finish. Perfect for summer
Brian,
T astes really nice in a gin buck
David,
My favorite gin so far. Absolutely love the lavender notes
Trevor,
Delicious!
Solomon,
First, they need to update the "about" section as its dated - did they make a single malt in 2017 or not? 2017 is in the past, not the future.
When I think of gin in my head, this is what it tastes like. This was kind of like the cheap gin they put in gin and tonics at bars but a lot smoother and flavors more pronounced. However, I am not a gin guy, and don't really like gin, so this comment is not worth much.
IAN,
Fantastic gin
Thomas,
Great Martini
Michael,
Strong Juniper with spices and lemon. Very interesting
Antti,
It is an outstanding, crisp, Dry Gin that has a floral birth with notes of lavender & fresh juniper; while an elegant life leads to a refreshing death with notes of cardamom seed & bay leaves.
Larry,
Similar to my favorite (Botanist), just not quite there.
Gary,
Great gin with lots of juniper and lavender notes! So far, I've used it mainly for classic martinis. Very smooth!
Stuart,
Pleasant dry gin
Alex,
Typical dry gin, clean, and crisp
Leah,
Nice lavender finish
Michael,
I'm not a big Gin drinker but I dabble sometimes in the spirits of floral. This Cotswold is a pleasure to discover with the pleasant undertones and overlying of several botanical flavors. The finish of lasting pepper and floral is as relaxing as the initial fresh sent. Truly an enjoyable Gin.
Lance,
Crisp, refreshing, and lots of citrus. I drank my sample with tonic but I feel this may be better served just over rocks and a little lime. Excellent gin.
Gavin,
Not sweet, fairly soft tasting, and botanicals coming through. A little flat.
Bradley,
Very floral citrus palette. This would be nice over rocks and soda with a lime.
Matthew,
Color is absent, clear. Nose starts very juniper forward. Cardamom and Angelica Root are also notable on the nose. First sip is a little sweet, with the juniper, but also with a nice balance of the cardamom, angelica root, and lavender. Finishes with a mild spice from the peppercorn. When paired with Fevertree Indian Tonic Water, pairs nicely to form a classic G&T. Stylistically a Classic Gin, a slight improvement over the archetypal Tanqueray, but about double the price.
Scott,
Very refreshing, crisp, citrusy gin. We definitely enjoyed it. Would probably pair really well with a lot of simple cocktails too
Timothy,
Very refreshing. Light and crisp. The lavender and lime notes are quite unique. Simply excellent!
Michael,
Tried this at the crafts celebration last night and was absolutely blown away
Carol,
Best gin ever! I have always liked gin but this is another level. We are actually creating converts at work with our G&T club. Everyone loves Cotswold!
Carol,
Hands down the best gin I have ever had. I recently held a blind taste test for my friends and they agree. I can't say enough good things about this gin. I love the fresh taste!
Carol,
Best gin I have ever tasted. My friends agree!
Mike,
Very juniper forward (uh Flaviar spiral doesn’t even list juniper?) clean crisp and very flavorful. Somefhing on the back side that I didn’t really care for, maybe the cardamom or coriander gave it a medicinal finish ?
Catherine,
The best gin I’ve ever tasted. Light, crisp, just the right amount of floral taste. Best served over ice with tonic!
Michael,
oops. those four stars where for Opihr Oriental Spiced London Dry. The Cotswolds is actually a solid bottle. 7 stars.
Michael,
underwhelming, drinkable, but I'd prefer something else in my G&T
Aaron,
Extraordinary.
Lucas,
Great flavor
Catherine,
This has perfect favor and balance. Tastes great in a gin and tonic. Best gin I’ve had thus far.
Jennifer,
Beautifully balanced with a delightfully unexpected floral profile. The lavender is lovely but well balanced with greener notes like coriander. If you are looking for something different, this is it.
Mark,
Great smooth gin.
Steven,
Fantastic gin; I've now bought three bottles since discovering it through the tasting box. Doubt I would have discovered it without my Flaviar membership. Highly recommended!
Marie,
In a blind Flaviar tasting, I agreed with the flavor wheel on lavender, botanicals and citrus. Definitely a go to gin for a warm weather cocktail.
Christine,
Makes a lovely, refreshing gin and tonic. The delicate flavor is otherwise overwhelmed by the warmth when enjoyed neat.
Erin,
Sweet floral dream.
Matthew,
Light and floral, needs to be enjoyed neat!
David,
For a person who doesn't like a lot of gins, this one had an interesting finish. Fruity and delicious
guest,
Fresh, fruity
Jenna,
Beautiful, with a strong grapefruit flavour. Very mellow— perfect for a g and t.
