The Tullamore distillery is located in Co Offaly, outskirts of Tullamore. The distillery was first founded in 1829 by Michael Molloy. After Molloy died, Bernard Daly took charge of the business.
The Whiskey was named after General Manager Daniel E. Williams. In 1953, production was ceased and moved to the New Midleton Distillery.
After William Grant & Sons bought Tullamore, new plans for a new distillery were announced, and in 2014 the production moved to the new distillery.
Three different pot stills are used for the triple distillation, also three different types of casks that are used for maturation, namely traditional, ex-Bourbon and Sherry.
