Stellum Bourbon

Stellum Bourbon sets the bar high for Blended Bourbons everywhere. It takes a special kind of skillset to master the art of blending and sourcing the best premium Spirits around the world and the folk at Barrel Craft Spirits certainly seem to have it.

Created in 2013 in Kentucky by Joe Beatrice who wanted to share his passion for unique, high-quality Spirits with the world, the BCS lads seek out the best leftovers there are (Not the kind you have in your fridge after Christmas.) and put them together to shine as their best selves.

Award-winning stuff, we tell ya, with their Blended Bourbon for example single-handedly announcing the rise of the Blended Whiskey when it was awarded Double Gold at the 2020 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

Stellum Spirits is a brand of blended sippers under the BCS umbrella and Stellum Bourbon is a good example of why Blended Whiskey is having its (long) moment.

A blend of Whiskeys from Indiana, Tennessee and Kentucky, it’s bottled at cask strength, as is the BCS way, of 114.98 proof. The Whiskeys are aged between 4 and 16 years. The drinking experience will be different from classic small batches and single barrel releases.

Don’t bother finding one dominant flavor as that would be like choosing your favorite pizza topping (Impossible, obviously). The flavor profile is complex and packed with classic Bourbon notes of vanilla, oak and burnt marshmallow that are balanced with the more unusual notes of berries, mint and even cayenne pepper.
