Awesome Rye

I normally dislike rye because they have too much bite without enough flavor, while my husband loves them. This is one we can both agree upon as a good neat whiskey. Good as an after dinner dessert.

Them Yankees Make A Nice Rye

This was my wife's favorite American whiskey so far in the calendar. Very favorable to me as well. A delicious nose that made my mouth water straight away is followed by a familiar but excellent journey down the flavors of a quality Straight Rye whiskey. Any heat we felt was merely an additional point of pleasure, and it has a mild overall spice for a Rye.

Very tasty dram that as of now is the bottle my wife will order.

Better as it warms

Thin, light appearance, high rye aroma. Some legs, not a lot. Spice dominates and finish is long. Some sweet. More complexity as it warms.

Day 7 advent Jaywalk Rye

My first sniff, when I opened the bottle, made me think of strawberry, which clearly from all the other notes, appears to be wrong. :) But after I let it open up a little bit, I did get the orange peel as well as strong vanilla and some burnt vanilla. Taste is super smooth with Caramel and coats the palette really nicely with a good bit of that Rye burn. The finish is smooth and hangs in there for quite a while. I think this would be a really great Rye for cocktails due to citrus notes.
