In October 1981, the Wizards of Tain sealed their new masterpiece in finest oak barrels, trying to create something luxurious. Then, in 1999, Dr. Lumsden stumbled upon a limited number of Sauternes barriques from Chateau d’Yquem and realized he can take the Spirit even further. The Scotch from 1981 was put in the barrels for a decade-long second maturation, and behold, this opulent, captivating Whisky was born. Superb!
