Top-notch and wonderful spicy white Rum.
Way back in 1875, an industrious head of
the Pellas family moved from Italy to Nicaragua to establish a distillery. In 1890, first bottles of
Flor de Caña Rum hit the Nicaraguan market and in the following decades, the rest of the continent. The distillery has been producing some amazing Rums and by 1990s, they had
the largest reserve of aged Rums in the World.
The distillery is situated on the sides of
the San Cristóbal volcano and the Flor de Caña Rums carry the volcano in their blood. The volcanic soil is rich in minerals and the climate makes sure the aging produces complex and amazing Spirits. Flor de Caña Rums are matured in
white oak barrels that used to hold Bourbon. The result are the lovely amber color and opulent flavors.
Flor de Caña 4 Years Extra Dry (or Extra Seco) is a lip-smacking, crisp and flavorful white Rum that's great straight, in a delightful Mojito or a fruit cocktail. What makes this one stand out among other white Rums is its
spicy aroma, a very dry flavor profile and a peppery finish that brings every mix to life.
