Did you know that if it wasn’t for Edmund Haynes Taylor Jr. a.k.a. the father of modern Bourbon, distillers could still be adding juices and syrups to their Bourbon instead of aging it? In 1869, Taylor purchased a small distillery situated on the banks of the Kentucky River and christened it OFC. During his tenure, Taylor came up with several innovative distilling techniques.
Crafted from hand-selected barrels, this uncut Bourbon is bottled straight from the barrel. Unfiltered and unadulterated at over 125 proof, it’s made in the way Whiskey was produced in the days before Prohibition. Edmund Haynes Taylor, Jr. was the owner of Buffalo Trace Distillery then. This special juice is drawn from barrels aged in rickhouses that were constructed by Taylor over a century ago.
