Calle 23: Tequila with a French Twist
Calle 23 Blanco Tequila is a pure, un-aged delight crafted from fully matured agaves. This small-batch wonder is double distilled and fermented with native and proprietary yeasts, ensuring a full-bodied experience. With an ABV that packs a punch, it boasts aromas of cooked agave, citrus, and herbs. On the palate, expect a soft yet characterful dance of agave, pears, and Granny Smith apples, finishing with a fruity, spicy flourish. It's a decorated darling, with accolades like Double Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
Calle 23 was founded by Sophie Decobecq, a French biochemist who fell in love with tequila in the late '90s. Based in Guadalajara, the brand is all about 100% blue agave from Jalisco's highlands, small-batch production, and a scientific approach to fermentation. Sophie's proprietary yeast strains make Calle 23 a standout. Since its launch, it's been racking up awards and is a favorite in over 14 countries.
