Chocolate and Vodka, these are a few of our favorite things.
We're calling out our friends to take a page out of Danny Bouvery's book. In 1999 Notting Hill, he began entertaining his friends by serving them his own chocolate Liqueur at dinner parties. Then, this rich and creamy dram was his ticket to the best New York parties. But there's only so much a man can make himself, so finally Danny and his wife decided to partner with a Connecticut distillery in 2014 to satisfy all the new fans. In 2017, the first bottles of this decadent blend were put on the shelves.
Bouvery CV (Even the name is whispering luxurious if you listen carefully.) is a small batch, artisanal cholocate Liqueur. A locally produced, premium corn Vodka from Connecticut is blended with dairy cream, cane sugar and a base of a special dark chocolate formula. It's made of low fat cocoa powder, made from the highest quality cocoa from South America and South Africa. Double filtered for that texture smoother than your favorite pickup line, this award-winning Liqueur then rests for 1-3 months in the bottle. But there's only like 2.500 bottles in each batch, so hopefully your friend group is not too big. If it is, we suggest saving it for your A-list friends.
Smartass Corner:
Since this decadent chocolate Liqueur has a rich and creamy mouth feel and a viscous, luscious texture, you should shake it well before drinking. And for a gift that keeps on giving, you can add 4oz of your favorite Vodka after the bottle is empty and shake well. This will give you a chocolate infused last drink.
