Bulleit American Single Malt
Known from its very beginnings as a 'frontier whiskey', Bulleit has now set its sights on conquering an exciting emerging frontier: American Single Malt.
The rise of the American Single Malt
Since the 90s, American Single Malt has been carving out a new frontier of American whiskey with 200+ expressions from 130+ distilleries. Recognized in July 2022 as a new classification of distilled spirits, it must meet the following criteria:
- Made from 100% malted, unpeated barley
- Mashed, distilled, and matured at a single U.S. distillery
- Distilled to a maximum proof of 160
- Matured in American Oak barrels under 700l
- Bottled at a minimum of 80 proof (40% ABV)

Bulleit American Single Malt
Bulleit American Single Malt is crafted from 100% malted barley, and aged in new American white oak barrels (the same used for Bulleit Bourbon). Bottled at 90 proof, this refreshingly lighter variation on the style offers an aroma of sweet vanilla and toasted oak, a light palate with hints of red fruit and pear, and a smooth finish of oaky caramel and subtle cocoa notes.
Encased in a bottle made from post-consumer recycled glass, (a pledge to reduce the environmental footprint), this Single Malt is ideal for those looking for more complex and unique whiskey experiences.
American Single Malt mixology

Apricot Sour
- 1 oz Bulleit American Single Malt
- 0.25 oz Apricot liqueur
- 3/4 tsp Demerara Sugar
- 0.25 oz Lemon Juice
Combine ingredients in a cocktail shaker. Add ice and shake. Strain over cubed ice into a rocks glass with a black salt rim. Garnish with a lime wedge.
Bulleit Single Malt Highball
- 1.5 oz Bulleit American Single Malt
- 4 oz Club Soda
- Orange Peel Garnish
Combine ingredients in a cocktail shaker. Add ice and shake. Strain over cubed ice into a highball glass with a black salt rim. Garnish with a lime wedge.
